Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe → Transfer to Kibale Forest

Drive Time: ~5–6 hours 

Activities:

  • Scenic Transfer to Kibale via Fort Portal Depart Entebbe/Kampala after breakfast and drive through tea plantations and crater lakes. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal. Duration: Full-day transfer with breaks
  • Evening Nature Walk or Crater Lake Visit Optional short walk near your lodge to stretch and enjoy the landscape. Duration: 1 hour

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Activities:

  • Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest Join rangers for a morning trek to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, play, and communicate. Duration: 2–4 hours
  • Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Walk Guided walk through a community-run wetland rich in birdlife, monkeys, and local culture. Duration: 1.5–2 hours

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP & Game Drive

Drive Time: ~3 hours Activities:

  • Scenic Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP Drive through the Rwenzori foothills and arrive at your lodge near the park. Duration: Morning transfer
  • Afternoon Game Drive in Kasenyi Plains Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes in the savannah. Duration: 2.5–3 hours

Day 4: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise & Community Visit

Activities:

  • Afternoon Visit to Local Community or Salt Lake Learn about traditional salt mining or visit a nearby village for cultural exchange. Duration: 1.5 hours

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector

Drive Time: ~4–5 hours Activities:

  • Game Drive in Ishasha Sector (Tree-Climbing Lions) Stop en route for a game drive in Ishasha, famous for lions lounging in fig trees. Duration: 2 hours
  • Arrival and Relaxation at Bwindi Lodge Check into your lodge and enjoy forest views and a quiet evening. Duration: Flexible

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Activities:

  • Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest After briefing, trek through dense forest to find your assigned gorilla family. Spend one unforgettable hour with them. Duration: 2–6 hours depending on gorilla location
  • Optional Cultural Visit to Batwa Community Learn about the Batwa pygmies’ forest traditions and music. Duration: 1.5 hours

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP

Drive Time: ~7–8 hours (long scenic drive) Activities:

  • Scenic Transfer via Hoima to Murchison Falls Early departure with lunch en route. Enjoy views of Lake Albert and Albertine Rift. Duration: Full-day transfer
  • Evening Relaxation at Lodge Arrive and unwind with views of the Nile or savannah. Duration: Flexible

Day 8: Game Drive & Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls → Return

Activities:

  • Morning Game Drive in Northern Sector Spot giraffes, elephants, lions, and antelopes in open savannah. Duration: 2.5–3 hours
  • Boat Cruise to the Base of Murchison Falls Cruise along the Nile to the thunderous base of the falls. 
  • Optional hike to the top. Duration: 2–3 hours

Departure: Late afternoon transfer to Kampala/Entebbe (~5–6 hours) or overnight stay can be arranged.
