Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Batwa Cultural Experience

Drive Time: ~8–9 hours from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi (with scenic stops) 

Activities:

  • Scenic Transfer to Bwindi via Mbarara Depart early and travel southwest through Uganda’s lush countryside, crossing the equator and passing tea plantations. 
  • Stop for lunch in Mbarara. Duration: Full-day transfer with breaks
  • Batwa Community Visit & Cultural Performance Upon arrival, join a guided walk with Batwa elders. Learn about forest survival skills, traditional music, and storytelling. Participate in a vibrant cultural performance. Duration: 1.5–2 hours

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

Activities:

  • Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing. Trek through dense forest with expert rangers to locate your assigned gorilla family. Spend one magical hour observing their behavior and taking photos. Duration: 2–6 hours depending on gorilla location
  • Afternoon Relaxation or Optional Nature Walk Return to the lodge for lunch and rest.
